This International Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training offers the beginner to intermediate level practitioner insight into gentle yoga, hatha, vinyasa and power yoga styles. You will leave with  knowledge and understanding on 116  asanas, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, the philosophy of yoga and sufficient practice to be able to start teaching with confidence. You will take a  dive into self-study through personal development to achieve and maintain a sense of inner-peace and self-love.  Training is held virtually, however you are welcome to attend any of your contact hours in Costa Rica with Hali Love!

Curriculum

♡ Yoga Styles

Study hatha yoga, gentle yoga, vinyasa, and power yoga.  Learn how to each safe and creative sequences for each style of yoga.  You will also study the traditional styles of yoga, the time line of yoga and the period of traditonal yoga.

 

♡ Yoga History & Philosophy

Study The Yoga Sutras, with a focus on The 8 Limbs of Yoga. Learn how this ancient philosophy can be incorporated into your life to improve self love, self care balance, and how they can help improve your relationships. Also learn how to incorporate yoga philosophy into your asana classes to teach well-anchored and traditional yoga. 

 

♡ Meditation & Mudras

Learn meditation and awareness deepening techniques.  Experience the power of connecting with nature and the world you live in.  Learn how to incorporate simple techniques in your life to experience greater clarity, calm and connection. Learn how to effectively teach a variety of meditations.  Learn some simple hasta mudras (hand positions) and how you can effectively incorporate them into your classes. 

 

♡ Pranayama

Learn how to use breath as a transformative tool for self-awareness.  You will explore different breathing techniques, along with the benefits of various pranayama, and how to teach the traditional styles of pranayama.  Learn how to effectively incorporate pranayama into your asana classes.

 

♡ Effective Teaching Skills

Learn how to infuse your classes with effective communication skills from western psychology; learn how to give and receive kind and effective feedback.  Learn how to read bodies and guide your students inspirationally.  

♡ Personal Development

Bringing awareness to limiting patterns, learn and practice tools to create new patterns, and how to create and maintain healthy boundaries and relationships.

 

♡ Yoga Anatomy & Physiology

An introduction to yoga anatomy, optimum alignment, and anatomical and movement language. 

 

♡ Mantra & Vedic Philosophy

Study of common mantras and Vedic philosophy, participation in chanting sessions.

 

♡ The Business of Yoga

Access to our online Business of Yoga Module, and optional Q & A session.

 

♡ Prenatal Yoga

 A Two Hour Prenatal Workshop with renowned Prenatal Yoga Teacher: Sara Rossi.

 

♡ Specialized Teaching

Learn how yoga, pranayama and mediation can help support the healing of common ailments, injuries and illness.

 

♡ The Energies of Yoga

Learn the energetics of yoga from Yoga Philosophy. 

 

♡ Introduction to Ayurveda

Study the basics of Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga.  Learn how to bring simple Ayurvedic principals into your life to create a greater sense of wellbeing.

Schedule

♡ Extended Program 7 Months

February 13, 2021 - August 21, 2021

3 Saturdays per month  8am-1pm 

2 Sundays per month 9am-12pm

2 Tuesdays per month 6pm-8pm 

Additional time will be individually scheduled for partner work.
